It is with great pleasure that we are able to add an 11-acre parcel in honor of late Board Member, Jeff Morris. The new Jeff Morris Preserve is adjacent to Mills Preserve, off of Dingle Ridge Road. The preservation of this land was made possible largely by the generous matching grant of Jeff’s wife, Janet Olshansky.

Jeff was a longtime Board Member and friend of NSOLF, who worked tirelessly to conserve over 500 acres across North Salem and bring many new members to NSOLF. After Jeff’s passing in 2020, Janet came to us with the idea of conserving a parcel in his name. We are delighted that with Janet’s matching grant and many kindhearted donors, we were able to secure the land in perpetuity.

We will soon be blazing trails to connect the Morris Preserve to Mills Preserve and Gaymark Preserve - making an extended trail system across three parcels. We look forward to being able to host hikes at the Jeff Morris Preserve. Please keep checking back for updated information and a trail map.
