Trail Description

Sporn Preserve offers an easy and scenic 0.5-mile footpath that winds through open meadows with stunning views of the Titicus Reservoir. Lush trees line the meadow edges, creating a beautiful contrast between open skies and shaded borders. This peaceful trail is perfect for a short, relaxing walk immersed in nature. Parking is available off of Mills Road for convenient access to the preserve.

Donated in 1999 by Ellen and Samuel Sporn, this five-acre preserve on Mills Road offers open views and a peaceful natural setting. Wetlands dominate the landscape, which gently slopes toward the Titicus Reservoir, providing important habitat for local wildlife.

We are dedicated to preserving the character and natural beauty of the town of North Salem, NY and the area around it by establishing land areas free from exploitation, development, and deterioration and by maintaining the environmental and ecological integrity of the area.
